Hyrtl collected these skulls to disprove Phrenology, a “science” that says you can tell a person’s intelligence based on the size and measurements of the skull. There are 139 skulls in the collection, all of them with interesting and unique stories to be told. I spent several months looking at their stories and creating an organized catalogue for them.
